Charlotte Henay, Ph.D
Charlotte Henay is a Bahamian diasporic teller, memory keeper and spirit worker. She listens to the plants, journeys, does multidisciplinary making, and scholaring.
Charlotte is fascinated by people, and tells about what it is to witness, in apprenticeship to her Ancestors. As a tender of grief, Charlotte’s work in poetic form is about talking with the dead to memory the breadth of our relationships.
Henay’s writing has been published in Canada and internationally, in literary magazines and academic journals, and her multidisciplinary work exhibited at the Nasher Museum, National Art Gallery of the Bahamas, conferences and galleries in New York City, and Toronto. She is a recovering academic.
