Mercedes O’Leary lives in Homer, Alaska. Her poetry, essays, and interviews have appeared in Boshemia, Calyx, Permafrost, The Rumpus, Great River Review, Literary Mama, and the Anchorage Daily News.
She is the editor of The Momologue Collective, a book-length collection of stories by self-identifying mothers. She runs the newsletter Looking for the Night Dispatcher, about archiving the letters her dad wrote to the local newspaper over three decades.
She has two daughters, a sweet dog, and teaches writing.
